Simulator to drive an electric locomotive
Some years ago the Railway Museum of Madrid gave us the driving console of a Renfe 252 series locomotive that had been used to train engine train drivers.
Afterwards, ASVAFER was able to put it into operation and it is usually one of the attractions of the Railway Exhibition. Thus, visitors can be virtual train drivers for a few minutes.
Recently we have achieved a much more realistic simulation, as new sounds have been incorporated and new trains can be seen crossing each other and greeting us with their whistle.
In the following gallery you can see the appearance of the simulator in different situations, as well as a photograph of the exterior of the simulated locomotive obtained from listadotren.es, whose author is Ramón Capín Roa.
